Fridge Maintenance Tips
Regular interior cleaning
It is important to clean and deodorize your fridge every couple of months. Removing any old or expired foods, wiping down all the surfaces, adding a special deodorizer to absorb smells, all these will help you use fridge properly and benefit your health.
Check the temperature
There's no need to set your fridge too cold; it will only make the motor work harder and also costs more electricity. 37°F - 40°F (3°C to 5°C) is recommended for residential fridge.
Check door seals
Check the seals on your fridge and freezer doors every 4 to 6 weeks . Remove any dirt and make sure the seals are working properly. Use a small piece of paper to check the door seals; if it can be pulled out easily, your gasket may need to be replaced.
Make sure the refrigerator is level
Use a carpenter's level to check to make sure the fridge is level from both front-to-back and side-to-side, particularly after you move it.
Clean the coils
The coils on the back of your fridge are responsible for eliminating heat. Dirty condenser coils can cause many performance issues, including the fridge not cooling or running constantly. Cleaning them at least once every 6 months. Simply use a vacuum cleaner to remove all that dust.
